Meeting new people is crucial. When we restrict ourselves to a fixed number of people, we won’t know what qualities we lack. In this case, your judgement about your abilities becomes predictable after some time. It is because when you only see yourself working well (according to your set parameters), then there is a probability that you will have a feeling of superiority. But when you are in the company of many people and see some working well in a field. Then, your assumption is proved false. Then, you can learn from them and try to improve.
Also, we
tend to miss and forget many things, but some people don’t. So, being in their
company can remind you of those.
By meeting
new people, I don’t mean prioritizing it over everything. I also don’t mean
that we should keep more and more people in our lives, but those who possess
valuable qualities. I know that very few people work seriously for their aims.
It’s just that meeting more people increases our probability of meeting them.
If you are in college, then the best way to do this is to take part in a college fest. Another way is using social networking sites wisely to find them and learn more from their ideas.
